The Next Forest - A Community Tree Planting Day

The Bark Beetle Information Task Force of Routt County is celebrating its tenth anniversary by hosting a community tree planting day to foster awareness and participation relative to the next generation forest.  The entire community is welcome with special focus on youth.  Saplings will be donated by the US Forest Service.

This is a great opportunity for businesses interested in community volunteerism to encourage your staff to participate.

Go Alpine Taxi and the City of Steamboat Springs have generously donated people movers to transport volunteers from Steamboat to Steamboat Lake State Park.  If you drive, volunteers are asked to park at the Marina, and will not need to purchase a park pass.
